UK Homegrown: Professor Green Reveals Lana Del Rey Collaboration
Hackney rapper Professor Green has announced plans to collaborate with American superstar Lana Del Rey according to reports.
The London emcee has exclusively broken the news to MTV and hopes to join forces with the singer over the coming months. The Remedy hit maker has already worked with some of the hottest names in music over the past twelve months including Emeli Sandé and Labrinth.
Pro revealed that he and Lana have already made contact with each other and have already expressed a desire to work with each other with Pro branding the songstress “incredible“.
“There’s been a bit of a back and forth between us. It’s something we both want to do, so fingers crossed that will happen. She’s been called the female Sinatra and I think that’s really fitting. She does sound like a woman of that era and the way she words things, I think her writing is incredible.?
The former JumpOff Rap Battle Champion also managed to discuss other future projects that he had in the pipe line including the hopeful prospects of another collaboration with an artist who he has already worked with in the past. Pro revealed that he was already planning an original track with long time pal Lily Allen prior to their successes on their efforts on the 2010 hit song Just Be Good To Green.
“I’d love to work with Lily again on something original because obviously, we done Just Be Good To Green but the words were sampled. I’d love to do something that we both sat down and wrote together. Just generally get her out of retirement, drag her kicking and screaming.”
